Blues fans in the upper Northwest corner of Washington State have had to do some traveling to see the Blues Orbiters playing live in the past. But the blues band began moving into the Northwest corner of Washington State recently, promoting their release of the new Blues Orbiters CD, Falling Leaves.

Brian Lee, who fronts the majority of the Blues Orbiters material on harp and guitar, is pleased with how the new CD turned out. He notes that the new
Falling Leaves CD will have a special pricing of $12 at the  live shows and the entire band will be available for signing autographs....you know they'll be worth a fortune someday! (EDITORS NOTE: The Blues Orbiters Falling Leaves CD has been nominated as a 2006 Washington Blues Society Best of Blues Recording.)

The five piece Blues Orbiters are a tight unit with a songlist of both originals and more traditional blues tunes.
Brian Lee combines sharp showmanship with a relaxed stage presence, while providing strong lead vocals, blues harp and guitar to the band's sound. Dan Taylor, with the Orbiters over a year, occaisonally steps to the mic to deliver vocals and harmonica also, but mainly Taylor provides those rocket in the pocket guitar leads from stage right. Ron Baker is the source of the bump and grind sax from stage left, sizzling and gritty. The rhythm section is tight with Conrad Ormsby on drums and Roger Smith on bass, and integral to the Blues Orbiters sound. If Conrad's taking a drum solo stay put, you're in for a rhythmic treat.
