Hey blues fans, it's time to come out to the Barrel in Burien and enjoy some blues! Tuesday at eight o'clock on the 12th of July, the night begins with Doug McGrew on drums, Hank Yonda on bass, Tim Turner on guitar and, of course, Rich Chapman on lead guitar and vocals. Doug always puts on a class jam and show. I want to thank Doug for asking me to guest host for this night and I hope you all will come out and have a good time, bring your ax or what have ya' and jam with us! I have a special guest coming to the Barrel Blues Jam, it's Jim McLaughlin, the world's best harmonica player and you can't miss that!
If you haven't been to the Barrel, you're missin' out! They've got great food, great drinks and great music. Here's how I find the Barrel and it works for me...I take I-405 south towards the airport and keep going until I get to Burien. Then I take the first light that goes right, which I think is the corner of 148th and 1st. Go north quite a ways and at about 112th you'll see an old XXX Rootbeer place on the left, that's The Barrel! The venue phone number is 206-24-7390 and you can call them for 'real' directions!
