Sudan Benefit at Wild Buffalo,
Tuesday, March 8
  by Shannon Coberly

There is going to be a benefit concert at the Wild Buffalo, 208 W. Holly in Bellingham on Tuesday, March 8th. There will be three local blues bands performing,
Shadow Creek Project, Trimmed and Burnin Blues Band and Gypsy Lou and the Travelers. Most of these musicians have performed on the Mount Baker Blues Festival stage and are donating their performances for this show. The music begins at 8pm and goes until we're done! The bar and kitchen will both be open and there is a $10 cover charge at the door that goes directly to the benefit fund. Anyone wishing to make a tax deductable donation should send their check to:

Sterling Drive Church of Christ
c/o Africa Fund
558 Sterling drive
Bellingham, WA 98225

The purpose of this benefit is to send three local nurses (Pam Coberly, Penny Nelson and Carol Shore) to the Sudan to help locals there set up and run desperately needed medical clinics. Pam Coberly will be on her third trip and has already established relationships with people in Uganda and the Sudan. These women are donating their own time and money to help others in need, they just need a little help getting there.
