Seattle blues musician and recording artist  Daddy Treetops will star at the Tuesday, October 11th Buffalo Blues Invitational Jam in Bellingham. The monthly show is from 8pm-midnight with no cover charge.

Daddy Treetops is always a welcome addition to any open mike or jam he shows up at, whether in Seattle or north in Whatcom County, because of his fluid versatility. Though best known for his vocals and guitar, he also performs regularly on piano and bass guitar.

     As frontman for his band,
The Howlin' Tomcats, Daddy Treetops has performed throughout the northwest, notably at the Mural Amphitheatre for Seattle's  Bumbershoot Festival. As a solo blues performer he delighted audiences at the Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival. He has lent his vocal, slide guitar, stand-up bass talents and more to numerous ensembles. This ability to step into a performance situation unrehearsed and add the necessary touches is the same appreciated talent that he brings to any jam situation.

Fans of roots blues will especially want to attend this Buffalo Blues Invitational. Daddy Treetops is well known for his performances of traditional blues material and he brings that same heartfelt edge to more contemporary compositions.

The Buffalo Blues Invitational happens on the second Tuesday of each month, from 8pm to midnight,  at the
Wild Buffalo House of Music, 208 W. Holly in downtown Bellingham. The blues show is hosted by Laurette Langille of the Rogue Paradise Blues Band. Each month she brings in a guest member for the house band to serve as the shows starring performer. Past starring guests have included The Colonel, Pat McFarland, Johnny Brewer, Mary McPage, Terry Easterwood and Jim Davis. Many other area musicians are also invited by Laurette Langille to perform at each monthes blues jam.
